Dress - Girl with the Red Hat

$35.00 USD

This digital garment features Vermeer’s painting Girl with the red hat (c. 1665-1666). Of all 37 paintings attributed to Vermeer, the Girl with the Red Hat is only one of two works not painted on canvas, but on a thin oak panel. This painting is Vermeer’s eye for detail. Artists favored garments, such as this red hat, that looked particularly exotic because it would offer an opportunity to show off his unique painterly technique.

Material: digital cotton.

Digital clothes fit all sizes.

THIS IS A DIGITAL ITEM, IT ONLY EXISTS DIGITALLY AND WILL BE APPLIED TO YOUR PHOTO(s).

About the artist:

Johannes Vermeer (1632-1675) is one of the most celebrated Dutch XVII century masters. The son of a silk worker who bought and sold art, Vermeer lived and worked in Delft (Netherlands) all his life. Vermeer’s paintings are meticulous compositions of interiors featuring one or two figures, usually women. These are intimate genre paintings in which the subject is engaged in some everyday activity, usually in the light of a nearby window.
