Ica & Kostika is a Panama based design studio accentuating the fusion of fashion design and technology. The studio was created by Ica and Kostika, who connected through social media for work and fell in love on their first meeting at a café in NYC.
Coming from a traditional fashion background, the designers always suffocated from the boundaries of physical manufacturing methods and industry gatekeepers. In the physical industry, the designers say, by the time the fashion item finally goes to production, the piece has already been interpreted, modified, forcing the designer to compromise. By going fully digital, Ica and Kostika got an opportunity to translate their purest manifestations to the audience. They are now free to express themselves unbound by any physical constraints with Ica & Kostika debut Unleashed Collection at DRESSX.
