Kerkinitida

Sukinda

$35.00 USD

Kerkinitida’s Love Eco Fashion collection speaks about the pressing environmental problems in our world in a unique theatrical manner. Not only the collection highlights the ecological issues of the XXI century, it also gives a spotlight to people who choose money over the planetary well-being. The collection centers around the two main characters: Pierrot - a clever servant looking to fill his pocket yet hiding his real motivation behind the good cause, and the Powerful of this World - a social elite only concerned about their revenue.

Sukinda is an Indian town known as the largest producer of chromite in the country - it accounts for about 97% of all chromite reserves in India. 60% of drinking water in the area contains hexavalent chromium at a level more than 2 times higher than the international standard. According to the Indian health group, an estimated 84.75% of deaths in mountainous areas are happening due to chromite diseases. Practically, no attempts were made to liquidate the infection. The black color of the dress depicts chromite, which brings death. Brightening up the garment is money falling from the sky.

About the designer:

Kerkinitida is a traditional-turned-digital conceptual fashion brand created by the designer Artem Krivosheya. Artem believes that fashion collections, both physical and digital, should communicate a story and inspire people the same as books, songs, or films. Kerkinitida’s first collection for DRESSX was born from the desire to build a series, where instead of actors the plot is being told by the clothes.
