
DRESSX has partnered with Depop to bring AI-powered virtual try-on to resale fashion through a series of live events, introducing a new interactive styling experience built around seller-generated content and pre-loved pieces. The collaboration lets guests discover, mix and match, and virtually try on curated looks from Depop sellers in real time showing how virtual try-on can move beyond polished brand catalogs and studio photography into community-driven, discovery-led shopping.
The partnership launched at the Governors Ball in New York on June 5, where visitors engaged with the DRESSX Mirror to style a curated selection of 300 items from Depop sellers. Guests mixed and matched tops, bottoms, shoes, bags, belts and accessories to build complete personalized looks, then received their generated look by email or text along with links to shop the featured pieces directly on Depop.
The collaboration continued on June 11 with an activation presented alongside Coach and its circularity-focused initiative, Coachtopia, this time placing Coach bags at the center of the styling journey. Through the DRESSX AI Mirror, guests selected vintage Coach bags available on Depop and experimented with different combinations of tops, bottoms and shoes to create complete looks in real time then generated an image of themselves wearing the full look with the bag, with direct links to purchase on Depop. This introduced one of DRESSX’s most technically demanding capabilities: realistic virtual try-on for bags, accurately capturing the proportions, textures and visual details of iconic accessories, and demonstrating how a single piece can transform an outfit across multiple aesthetics and occasions.
Together, the two events showcase a capability unique to DRESSX: transforming seller-generated and UGC-style fashion content into interactive, instantly shoppable styling experiences. Making virtual try-on work with this kind of content is significantly more challenging than with traditional studio imagery which is precisely what makes it powerful, opening up entirely new ways for resale and circular fashion to be experienced digitally. The Depop partnership marks the start of a broader DRESSX AI Mirror roadshow exploring how AI-powered styling can shape the future of resale fashion.
